Fresh Citrus Fruits
Belize has long been known for its high-quality citrus fruits. As part of the Silk Grass family, Hummingbird Citrus Ltd. produces citrus for its sister company, Silk Grass Farms. Our oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits will be used in future Silk Grass Farms cold pressed juices and juice blends. Using state of the art high pressure processing (HPP), Silk Grass Farms juices won’t ever be heated or chemically pasteurized, leaving the farm-fresh flavor and nutritional quality of our citrus intact.
Specialty Cacao Beans
Once abandoned and weathered by hurricanes and floods, our cacao groves are producing for market again. We grow, harvest, ferment, and dry specialty cacao beans exclusively for the premium French chocolate manufacturer, Valrhona, SAS. With help from our marketing service provider, Maya Mountain Cacao Ltd., our beans are now solely used in Valrhona’s single origin “Tulakalum” and “Xibun” chocolate. We’re expanding our cacao production while continuing to rehabilitate existing cacao acreage to secure consistent supply to Valrhona.
